PURPOSE:
To accept a $44,857.70 Park Pride Community Building Grant for capital improvements at DeKalb Memorial Park; to accept $12,000 from the Friends of DeKalb Memorial Park; to allocate $16,428.85 from District 3 Reserve for Appropriations account 09130.579002.272.0000.0000 and $16,428.85 from District 6 Reserve for Appropriations account 09130.579002.272.0000.0000 and setup a new DeKalb Memorial Park project in the RPCA Grants organization.
NEED/IMPACT:
This grant is designated for the installation of additional playground elements at DeKalb Memorial Park. The playground equipment will provide additional recreational opportunities for the surrounding community. The total project budget is $89,715.40 and will be funded by:
Park Pride $44,857.70
Friends of DeKalb Memorial Park: $12,000.00
District 3 Appropriations $16,428.85
