PURPOSE:
To consider approving the contract with Versaterm Public Safety US, Inc. to purchase the Internal Affairs (IA) Pro Software license for the Internal Affairs Unit of the Department of Police Services. The contract will be for one year and automatically renewed for four years.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Department of Police Services requires software for its Internal Affairs Unit to function efficiently and effectively. It allows for the electronic storage of critical records, with report functionality that allows the automated generation of reports. The Internal Affairs unit also requires software that allows for the digitalization of key Internal Affairs functions so that national certification can be maintained and so that processes that maintain the integrity of the Department can continue unabated.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of the software will be for the amount not to exceed $145,694.80.

Recommended Action
To consider approving the contract with Versaterm Public Safety US, Inc. to purchase the Internal Affairs (IA) Pro Software license and related services. To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
