PURPOSE:
To approve the reappropriation of $25,000 from the 2023 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation Funds for the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Initiatives.
NEED/IMPACT:
In December 2023, the Board of Commissioner’s approved agenda item 2023-1512. This item appropriated funding to the DeKalb Chamber Small Business Recovery Program. The Chamber did not secure enough funding for the SBRP and the agenda item had to be rescinded. This agenda item reappropriates the $25,000 to the DeKalb Chamber to provide funding for support and resources to small businesses more generally as described in the attached proposal.

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the reappropriation of $25,000 from the 2023 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation Funds for the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Initiatives and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
