PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on April 26, 2016 for an amount not to exceed $4,568,192.87. This contract consists of adding on-road bike lanes in both directions along South Stone Mountain Lithonia Road and a 5-foot sidewalk along the eastern side of the road with additional work to include building curbs and gutters along both sides of South Stone Mountain Lithonia Road. This request is to extend the contract term through April 30, 2019 due to extensive conflicts with existing underground utilities being encountered during the construction of storm drain system improvements on the project; which slowed the pace of the contractor’s work.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 with:
SD & C, Inc., 809 Park North Blvd., Clarkston, GA 30021
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
