PURPOSE:

To appropriate $200,000 in SPLOST capital repair funds, Category 3H Stream Bank Restoration/Drainage and Stormwater Improvements, as approved by the voter referendum. 

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The funds are needed for capital repairs at the parks to remedy persistent drainage problems.  This may include mobilization/demobilization, removal of unsuitable soils, grading of slope transitions, installation of riprap, slope matting, permanent grassing and paving.  These projects are part of the SPLOST referendum, Category 3H.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

No impact to operating budget.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Appropriate $200,000 in SPLOST capital repair funds, Category 3H Stream Bank Restoration/Drainage and Stormwater Improvements, as approved by the voter referendum; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents for the completion of the project.
