PURPOSE:
To accept the terms of the Recipient - Sub-recipient Agreement from Georgia Emergency Management Agency for Homeland Security Grant #EMW-2018-SS-00067-S01, SHO18-031 in the amount of $105,000.00. This agreement governs the use of funding provided by DHS to assist our agency with enhancing its capabilities of handling emergency events. The funds can will be applied to purchasing equipment found on the Authorized Equipment List (AEL).
NEED/IMPACT:
Funds provided with the grant will assist with purchasing equipment utilized for the handling of hazardous materials incidents in support of the goals and objectives of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency State Strategic Plan.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the county.

Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
