PURPOSE:
1. To consider approval of transferring $250,000 Fiscal Year 18 Dislocated Worker program funds to Fiscal Year
18 Adult funds.
2. To consider authorizing the funds when appropriate; and
3. To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary document.
NEED/IMPACT:
Worksource DeKalb can serve more individuals with Adult funds as opposed to Dislocated Workers. The unemployment rate of DeKalb County as well as the State is 3.3% and 3.7%, respectively and is at an all-time low therefore, there are less dislocated workers to serve in the county.
This action has been approved by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Board.

Recommended Action
• Request for an approval to transfer funds $250,000 Program Year 2017 Dislocated Workers funds to Program Year 2017 Adult funding stream.
• Authorize the funds when appropriate.
• Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
