PURPOSE:
• To consider accepting grant award in the amount of $ 25,000 from the Fulton - DeKalb Hospital Authority to provide funds for health, fitness, and nutrition courses for the court’s youth, trauma- informed training for the court staff, and a health fair for the youth, parents, staff and the community.
To consider appropriating the amount of funds awarded to the grant fund.
NEED/IMPACT:
In December 2018, the Fulton - DeKalb Hospital Authority (FDHA) awarded the DeKalb County Juvenile Court with $25,000 to fund the court’s new Community Health Partnership Program Initiative. Funds will be used to provide health and nutrition courses for the youth served by the court, trauma- informed training for court staff, a health fair for the youth, staff and the community. The Grant period is January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Grant award will provide additional funds to the Juvenile Court overall budget.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
