PURPOSE:
The purpose of this agenda item is to appoint a representative from District 5 to the Chief Executive Officer’s newly created DeKalb County Charter Review Commission.
NEED/IMPACT:
On March 25, 2019, by Executive Order, the Chief Executive Officer created the DeKalb County Charter Review Commission to study DeKalb County’s form of government. The Charter Review Commission is charged with conducting a comprehensive review of the Organizational Act and will compose a report with recommendations on how the county government can be improved. Pursuant to the Executive Order, Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson appoints Deborah A. Jackson to represent District 5.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County.
