PURPOSE:
To consider approving the River/Lake Information Services Agreement between the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), the City of Atlanta, the Atlanta - Fulton County Water Resources Commission, Cobb County - Marietta Water Authority and DeKalb County.
NEED/IMPACT:
This agreement provides ARC the authority to act as the agent for the participants, including interacting with the United States Government and the Georgia Power Company, and negotiating, executing, and implementing a statement of policy regarding the release of water from Morgan Falls Dam and the management of water resources from Lake Lanier and the Chattahoochee River.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Per the agreement, each participant agrees to pay ARC for its services and reimbursements in the sum of:
$32,300 for calendar year 2020
$33,300 for calendar year 2021
$34,400 for calendar year 2020
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
The Department of Watershed recommends approval of the River/Lake Information Services Intergovernmental Agreement and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to sign all necessary documents.
