PURPOSE:

To consider accepting grant award in the amount of $11,206 from the Prosecuting Attorney’s Council (PAC) as a supplement to the FY18 award to provide additional training, grant-funded employee salary increases, and program supplies for the Solicitor-General’s Victim-Witness Assistance Program.

NEED/IMPACT:

The Prosecuting Attorney’s Council (PAC) awarded the Solicitor-Generals Office funding for FY18 to assist with providing victim-centered services and resources as well as training for the professional development of Victim-Witness Advocates. The $11,206 comes as a supplement to the original Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) award.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The award will provide additional funds to the Solicitor-Generals Office for victim-centered services. A county match of 20% ($2,802) is required and covered through transfer to grants account.
