PURPOSE:

To consider adopting the attached ordinance to amend the Code of DeKalb County, Georgia, Chapter 17, Article XXI, Section 362 to restrict parking at certain times on parts of Blueberry Trail, Country Squire Drive, Delcourt Drive, Harcourt Drive, and Mount Olive Drive.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The proposed restrictions are intended to restrict parking on neighborhood streets near Druid Hills Middle School and Laurel Ridge Elementary School around the beginning and end of the school day. A majority of the property owners on the affected street segments have petitioned for the parking restrictions in the attached ordinance.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The only costs are for the production and installation of necessary signs.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To adopt the attached ordinance to amend the Code of DeKalb County, Georgia, Chapter 17, Article XXI, Section 362 to restrict parking at certain times on parts of Blueberry Trail, Country Squire Drive, Delcourt Drive, Harcourt Drive, and Mount Olive Drive; and

To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents pertaining to this ordinance.
