PURPOSE:

 To designate an amount not to exceed $51,000.00 from the Designated Services Fund Reserve for Appropriation account to address traffic and speeding concerns at the aforementioned locations in District 5, which do not qualify for a traffic signal

 

NEED/IMPACT:

These funds will support the installation of traffic calming devices in the aforementioned locations. Each of the locations have documented concerns about vehicles traveling at high speeds. These locations do not qualify for a traffic light, however, the need to ensure the safety of pedestrians, motorist and citizens at large in District 5 remains. This item will help to address the need.

 

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

An amount not to exceed $51,000.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents designating funds in the amount of $51,000 for the specified projects.
