PURPOSE:
To consider entering into a street lighting indication of support agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to provide energy, operation and maintenance for street proposed streets lights along Covington Highway (SR 12) from DeKalb Medical Parkway to Cragstone Court; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents pertaining to this project.
NEED/IMPACT:
GDOT is proposing to construct an improvement project along Covington Hwy (SR 12) from DeKalb Medical Parkway to Cragstone Court under PI No. 0008288. If street lighting is determined to be needed for additional safety countermeasures, then the indication of support states that DeKalb County is willing to enter into a future agreement to provide ongoing energy, operation and maintenance for this lighting.
