PURPOSE:
WorkSource DeKalb is recommending approval to cancel Contract Number 1115853 for Adult and Dislocated Worker Services for convenience and the remaining contract balance of FY18 funds for utilization to be expended by WSD prior to June 30, 2020.
NEED/IMPACT:
WIOA regulations require local workforce areas such as WSD to expend FY18 funds no later than June 30, 2020. WSD has a plan in place to expend funds prior to the June 30, 2020 deadline. The total combined amount of the funds will not exceed $700,000. The plan includes but is not limited to work based learning opportunities through employer driven projects, individual training accounts for customers and grant administration cost.
• Adult Program Funds: not to exceed $300,000
• Dislocated Worker Program Funds: not to exceed $400,000
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is not an impact to DeKalb County’s budget. 100% WIOA Funding
