CO 2- Sale of Single Stream Recycling Materials (Multi-Year Contract with 5 Options to Renew): for use by Public Works-Sanitation. This contract consists of recycling single steam materials (paper, can and plastic) collected by the recycling program. This request is to extend the contract for two (2) years with an additional one (1) option to renew effective January 01, 2020. Award to Pratt Recycling, Inc. Amount Not To Exceed: $1,560,000.00.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on October 14, 2014 for an estimated revenue of $300,000.00. The BOC approved Change Order No. 1 on October 08, 2019 extending the contract term expiration date to December 31, 2019. The current market and the value of the commodities that make up residential single stream has fallen dramatically since the initial agreement raising the cost to $60.00 per ton. In 2018, the County collected over 13,000 tons of material. This request is to allow for the continuation of the County’s recycling of these materials.

Recommend approval to Change Order No. 2 with:
Pratt Recycling, Inc., 1599 Highway 138 NE, Conyers, GA 30013
Amount Not To Exceed: $1,560,000.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
