PURPOSE:
To fulfill the County’s need for a specialist, who has the training, experience, and qualifications necessary to practice medicine in the specialty of emergency medicine, to supervise and direct emergency medical planning and oversight services as Medical Director, as prescribed by OCGA 31-11-60.1.-Program for physician control over emergency medical services to nonhospital patients.
NEED/IMPACT:
The agreement will enable the county to utilize the services and resources of The Emory Clinic, Inc. to meet the responsibilities of DeKalb County Medical Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Annual cost of $99,500, payable monthly at $8,291.67.
