PURPOSE:
The purpose of the work is to design and implement an entirely new Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory Environment and complete other Microsoft windows upgrades. The current Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory Environment was implemented in the early part of the millennium and is no longer supported by Microsoft. These projects are some of the last steps needed to modernize the County’s systems and protect County data and systems from cyber-attacks. Microsoft Corporation and its outsourced service providers are the only firms with the technical and proprietary knowledge necessary to service, modify and/or install Microsoft products for government entities.

Recommend approval of the sole source with:
Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond WA, 98052
Amount Not To Exceed: $759,566.08
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the contract and all associated documents.
