This contract consists of the provision of congregate, shelf-stable and home-delivered meals for seniors. This request is to extend the contract to July 31, 2020 and increase the contract amount. Awarded to Meals on Wheels Atlanta and Magic Kitchen. Total Amount Not To Exceed: $550,701.00.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on October 8, 2019 as emergency contracts for an amount not to exceed $382,323.00 for a period beginning on October 8, 2020 and ending April 20, 2020. This request is to extend the contract terms to July 31, 2020 and to increase the contract amount not to exceed by $498,000.00 to cover the cost of services and to allow time for the County to complete the procurement process for new competitively let contract(s). The RFP is currently being advertised and is scheduled to close on April 2, 2020. The below amount reflects the current requested funding which includes additional funding to ensure services meet can be provided until the new contracts are in place. $52,701.00 is for increased expenses related to change in congregate meal program due to COVID-19.
