PURPOSE:

NEED/IMPACT:

Under the terms of a right-of-way agreement with GDOT, DeKalb County is acquiring right-of-way on behalf of GDOT for upgrades to 36 intersections (PI#0002669).  At the East College Avenue at Sam’s Crossing/Arcadia Avenue intersection the signal upgrades require the acquisition of 345.96 square feet of right-of-way at Lanier Gardens Park.  DeKalb County will be reimbursed $15,600 by GDOT for this property under the terms of the project right-of-way agreement.  The Board of Commissioners authorized the acceptance of the GDOT right-of-way funds used for this project on July 12, 2016 and July 26, 2018.  Upon completion of the project and finalization of the property boundaries, RPCA/DeKalb County will convey the park to the City of Avondale.

FISCAL IMPACT:
