PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing the conveyance of 345.96 square feet of Lanier Gardens Park (Parcel ID # 15-248-07-001) to the Georgia Department of Transportation for use on a traffic signal upgrade project.
NEED/IMPACT:
Under the terms of a right-of-way agreement with GDOT, DeKalb County is acquiring right-of-way on behalf of GDOT for upgrades to 36 intersections (PI # 0002669). At the East College Avenue at Sam’s Crossing/Arcadia Avenue intersection the signal upgrades requires the acquisition of 345.96 square feet of right-of-way at Lanier Gardens Park. DeKalb County will be reimbursed $15,600 by GDOT for this property under the terms of the project right-of-way agreement. The Board of Commissioners authorized the acceptance of the GDOT right-of-way funds used for this project on July 12, 2016 and July 26, 2018.
FISCAL IMPACT:
DeKalb County will be reimbursed $15,600 for the conveyed property.
