PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on December 12, 2017 for an amount not to exceed $17,299,418.67. This contract consists of providing the maintenance, upgrades, technical support and monitoring to support the 16-year old proprietary Motorola P-25 SmartZone Radio System, towers and modems originally approved for purchase by the BOC June 7, 2006. This request is to replace the current microwave system (part of the radio system) as it is outdated and repair parts are obsolete. This system is critical in servicing first responders and the citizens of DeKalb.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 with:
Motorola Solutions, Inc., 1700 Belle Meade Court, Lawrenceville, GA 30043
Amount Not To Exceed: $3,636,651.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
