PURPOSE:
Consists of the purchase, selection, care, maintenance, flow testing and records management of new and existing Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment. This contract will staff the warehouse with a 3M Scott Fire & Safety-Certified Technician to stock the components, parts and service; make repairs on-site and via mobile field service; and provide on-going training to ensure compliance with regulations established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Centers for Disease Control's National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). One (1) bid was received.

Recommend award to the sole bidder who is responsive and responsible:

Municipal Emergency Services, Inc. (MES), 6701-C Northpark Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28216

Amount Not To Exceed: $1,443,757.20

and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the contract and all associated documents.
