PURPOSE:

To accept a Park Pride grant for capital improvement at DeKalb Memorial Park

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Park Pride Atlanta has awarded DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department a Community Building Grant for capital improvements at DeKalb Memorial Park.  The grant will be used to renovate/expand the existing deck, create a mural, and other general beautifications at the park as outlined in Phase I of the DeKalb Memorial Vision Plan.  Total project cost is $36,000 with the following funding sources:

$5,000                                          Kirkwood Neighborhood Association

FISCAL IMPACT:

Estimated $4,436 to be funded from RPCA fiscal year budget

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution to accept the Park Pride grant for capital improvements at DeKalb Memorial Park and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
