PURPOSE:
Consists of piggybacking off the competitively let HGACBuy Contract No. EC07-20 via the Lead Agency H-GAC (Houston-Galveston Area Council). This request is to upgrade the fire station alerting systems in all County fire stations to an IP Based NFPA compliant alerting system which utilizes firmware-based hardware to pre-alert stations and voice automated dispatching. This alerting system upgrade will have a profound impact on call processing times, as well as reduce the overall response time of fire rescue units to emergency scenes.
