PURPOSE:
Consists of the purchase and replacement of five (5) Nord Helical - Bevel Gearmotors. The previous units were installed at the facility in 2019 and have stopped working due to failed motors or gearboxes. The gear motors are needed to operate the aeration brushes at the aeration tanks to satisfy the daily demand of the peak flow and major storm conditions. The gear motors are vital to the facility operations to remove ammonia from the wastewater.
