PURPOSE:
To consider approving a resolution to accept the public process plan to develop the 2050 Unified Plan Update.
NEED/IMPACT:
The County is preparing to embark upon a major update to both its transportation and comprehensive plans, which shall be referred to as the 2050 Unified Plan Update. The GA Department of Community Affairs requires a public hearing for the first stage of public engagement and plan development. The purpose of this hearing is to brief the community on the process to be used to develop the plan, opportunities for public participation in development of the plan, and to obtain input on the proposed planning process. Kimley Horn is the consultant contracted to help develop the plan.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Project cost is $1,375,000, which includes a portion from FTA funds.
