PURPOSE:

Consists of piggybacking off the competitively let NPPgov.com Contract No. P20270 via the Lead Agency, League of Oregon Cities.  This request is for the purchase of 800 Conducted Electrical Weapons (CEW) and includes instructor-led and virtual reality training, master instructor school training, charging docks and accessories and unlimited cartridges with support over a five (5) year period. The new weapons will replace the current inventory that is 7-9 years old and obsolete as the average lifespan for a CEW is five years.  The County will receive a trade-in allowance of $144,274 for obsolete inventory and an additional 10% discount for use of this cooperative agreement. Police Services has been shifting weapons between on and off duty officers which is a potential life, health, and safety hazard for officers.
