PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on October 8, 2019 for an amount not to exceed $11,478,414.49. On November 10, 2020, the BOC approved Change Order No.1 to extend the contract to March 29, 2021. On March 9, 2021, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 to extend the contract to June 30, 2021 to allow for continued contract performance previously delayed due to weather conditions. This contract consists of approximately 25 miles of roadway resurfacing in unincorporated areas of the County. The vendor has completed nearly 20 miles of resurfacing and needs additional time to complete the remainder of the roads included in the contract. Work has been impacted by additional weather delays. This request is to extend the contract for an additional 60 days.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 3 to extend the contract term through August 30, 2021 with:
HEH Paving, Inc., 3384 Almand Road, Atlanta, GA 30316
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
