PURPOSE:
To accept the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Atlanta Regional Commission and DeKalb County in the amount of $577,494.00. This agreement governs the use of funding provided by the Atlanta Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) to assist our agency and regional partners with enhancing its capabilities of handling emergency events. The funds will be applied to purchasing equipment found on the Detailed Project Equipment List (DPEL).
NEED/IMPACT:
Funds provided with the grant will assist with purchasing a Mass Casualty Ambulance Transport Vehicle in support of the goals and objectives of Atlanta Urban Area Security Initiative and Homeland Security Grant Programs.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to county.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
