PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriation of $51,040.00 from Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act grant funds assigned to Account 105424.63258.E.1.01.602313 reserved for District 1 to LaAmistad Inc., for the purpose of providing support and relief from the ongoing public health emergency by administering a tutoring program addressing needs created by the effects of the public health emergency.
NEED/IMPACT:
Public relief is needed to counter the impact of the LaAmistad Inc. to provide relief and support citizens that have been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The current draft of the Memorandum of Agreement is attached to this appropriation item solely for informational purposes about the particulars of the program.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 1 CARES Act Funding and be appropriated to LaAmistad Inc.
