PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing the payment of $25,000 to Norfolk Southern Railway Company for engineering review services for the Cedar Grove Road Bridge Replacement; and To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute necessary documents to facilitate this work.
NEED/IMPACT:
Design is currently underway for replacing the Cedar Grove Road bridge over Norfolk Southern Railroad. Norfolk Southern Railway Company requires reimbursement of their costs related to the bridge replacement and has submitted a cost estimate of $25,000 for engineering review of the plans being developed by the county’s engineering firm.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Line item 1F SPLOST funds previously reserved for this project under item 2020-1383 will be used to make the proposed payment.

Recommended Action
To authorize the payment of $25,000 to Norfolk Southern Railway Company for engineering review services for the Cedar Grove Road Bridge Replacement; and To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute necessary documents to facilitate this work.
