PURPOSE:
To request sponsorship to authorize the Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment Office of the General Assembly to review the proposed redistricting plan as required under O.C.G.A. ? 28-1-14.1(b)(3)(A), which plan is reflected in the enclosed Exhibit A (for DeKalb County Board of Commissioners Districts 1-5) and Exhibit B (for DeKalb County Board Commissioners Districts 6-7), consistent with the number of districts set out in the DeKalb County Organizational Act. NEED/IMPACT:
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. ? 28-1-14.1, review by the Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment Office is required before the redistricting plan can be adopted by the Governing Authority and prior to the introduction of legislation to implement the plan.

To approve the resolution and request that the DeKalb County Delegation to the Georgia House of Representatives authorize the LCRO to review the proposed redistricting plan as required under O.C.G.A. ? 28-1-14.1(b)(3)(A), which plan is reflected in Exhibit A (for DeKalb County Board of Commissioners Districts 1-5) and Exhibit B (for DeKalb County Board Commissioners Districts 6-7), consistent with the number of districts set out in the DeKalb County Organizational Act.
