PURPOSE:
To consider approval of Lease Amendment No. 5 to delete 0.132 acre (5,745 square feet) of undeveloped property from the leasehold; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the Lease Amendment.
NEED/IMPACT:
The County executed County Contract No. 06-800202 with Mercury Air Center-Peachtree-DeKalb, LLC d/b/a Atlantic Aviation, a fixed base operator, on December 6, 2006. The lease contains four previous amendments. Lease Amendment No. 5 was negotiated in accordance with the DeKalb County Code. Approving Lease Amendment No. 5 to Contract No. 06-800202 will benefit the County and the Airport and inure to the public interest by allowing the undeveloped property to be utilized by the County to add revenue to the County.
The County Attorney has reviewed the document and approved it as to form pending Governing Authority approval.
The original documents will be forwarded to the Purchasing & Contracting Department subsequent to Governing Authority approval.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This is a revenue generating lease agreement. There is no cost to the County.
