PURPOSE:
The initial contract for Steed Society has been completed by the County Law Department and 2021-2875 was approved by the Board of Commission to appropriate $200,000 from America Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to the account reserved for District 6 for marketing and activities that encourages citizens who might not otherwise get the vaccine, to do so; and, to assist in the mitigation of the public health crisis created by the COVID-19 Pandemic was approved in July by the Board of Commission. District 6 has appropriated $100,000 of the previously approved amount of $200,000 ARP funds from POETA Account 105744.63258.521209.01.06.
Commissioner Terry is requesting Board of Commission to amend Contract 1272741 to increase it by $100,000 to continue the efforts needed to vaccinate District 6 DeKalb County citizens.
NEED/IMPACT:
This item will support efforts to encourage citizens who might not otherwise get the vaccine, to do so.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The balance of $100,000 previously approved by the Board of Commission
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To authorize the CEO to execute the change order and all associated documents.
