PURPOSE:
The purpose of the RFP is to outline functions to be pursued with the chosen consultant to work with County staff, the Board of Commissioners, and the Chief Executive's office to develop an innovative, ambitious, equitable, and data-driven comprehensive equity strategy with a sunset time horizon of June 15, 2023. The purpose of the strategy is to develop a holistic lens through which equity is pursued throughout County practices. The consultant is directed to provide the following key project outputs:
1) Recommendations on Increasing equity for current policies
2) Recommendations on Increasing equity for future policies
3) Framework for measuring equity in each policy within the BOC
4) Leadership trainings on equitable practices to incorporate in recruitment, hiring, and retention of talent
5) Guidance on operationalizing equity policies
6) Feasibility analysis for the creation of an Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs
