PURPOSE:
The purpose of this agenda item is to allocate funding to Decatur Cooperative Ministries from the American Rescue Plan funds to assist with eviction forbearance, utility and water billing assistance, and other administrative costs.
NEED/IMPACT:
As a vital partner in DeKalb County, Decatur Cooperative Ministries assists those facing homelessness with settling into safe, stable homes and build healthy lives filled with peace, hope and opportunity. This agenda item will help to ensure that those District 5 residents facing eviction or those who are delinquent in rental payments can get needed assistance.
