PURPOSE:
Consists of the emergency purchase of Vote-by-Mail Packets to ensure the April 25, 2022 deadline is met as mandated by the State. This request is for the ratification of the purchase of the packets. Given legal requirements and the public interest in voting, the standardized processing and mailing of absentee ballots is needed to mitigate potential delays in citizens receipt of election packets. Failure to approve this emergency request would result in the County not meeting legal requirements and it would affect an essential government function - voting.
