PURPOSE:
To consider rescinding Traffic Calming District Number 08-15-15 and adopting the attached resolution creating Traffic Calming District Number 22-15-06 in Land Lot 95 of the 15th District; to consider authorizing the installation of additional traffic calming measures (speed tables) and appropriate signage on Snapfinger Lake Drive, Wesley Bend & Horseshoe Court off Snapfinger Road; to continue assessing all properties in the affected area an annual maintenance cost of $25.00
NEED/IMPACT:
Speeding was confirmed on Snapfinger Lake Drive, Wesley Bend & Horseshoe Court off Snapfinger Road, which meets the criteria for traffic calming measures. Owners of 67.29% of the eligible properties in the identified affected area have signed the petition to keep the splitter and center islands and add speed tables. The public hearing has been advertised and appropriate signs have been posted notifying residents in the area.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of initial installation of traffic calming measures is estimated to be $29,330. All properties in the affected area will continue to be assessed a yearly maintenance cost of $25.00 during the life of the traffic calming measures.
