PURPOSE:
o To consider accepting a grant award in amount of $9,450 from the Administrative Office of the Courts, Georgia Court Improvement Program to address Juvenile Court needs stemming from the COVID-19 public health emergency to ensure safety, permanence, and well-being needs of children in a timely manner.
o To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer and/or his designee to execute the Grant Agreement and all necessary documents
NEED/IMPACT:
The Administrative Office of the Courts, Georgia Court Improvement Program awarded funding to Juvenile Court for the purpose of addressing needs stemming from the COVID-19 public health emergency to ensure the safety, permanence, and well-being needs of children are met in a timely and complete manner. The grant award will provide additional support for training for court personnel, technology to assist the court in operating a hybrid model and provide parent education workshops to juvenile court families.
The grant period is July 15, 2022-September 30, 2022. The amount to be received from the Administrative Office of the Courts is $9,450. No match is required.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The award will provide additional funding and resources to Juvenile Court's overall grant budget. The grant award does not require a match.
