PURPOSE:
Funding is needed for the E.M.B.A.R.C. Youth Farm to mitigate the public health emergency created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
NEED/IMPACT:
The $250,000 will be used to assist with supporting the E.M.B.A.R.C. Youth Farm that will be a community hub in DeKalb County which aims to provide a place to farm, grow food, learn, and engage all residents. Currently, Phase I of the youth farm is being completed.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To appropriate an amount not to exceed $250,000 from POETA Account # 105744.63258.521209.01.07.602479 to the DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs for the E.M.B.A.R.C. Youth Farm to mitigate the public health emergency created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
RECOMMENDATION:

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
