PURPOSE:

Consists of purchasing from the competitively let TIPS Contract No. 230105 for the purchase of nine (9) Dell PowerEdge R570 physical host servers. These enterprise‑grade servers provide the processing capacity, memory resources, and hardware redundancy required to operate the County’s VMware virtual environment, which supports numerous mission‑critical applications. This purchase replaces the County’s existing physical host servers, which have reached the end of their supported lifecycle and are no longer secure or eligible for manufacturer support. Replacing this aging hardware is necessary to reduce cybersecurity exposure, prevent equipment‑failure risks, and avoid service disruptions to public safety operations and essential County systems.
