PURPOSE:
To Allocate an Amount Not to Exceed $10,000.00 to DeKalb County Probate Court from the District 3 Reserved for Appropriation for the Mental Health Symposium.
NEED/IMPACT:
Mental health and emotional well-being are essential to building healthy families, stronger communities, and improving overall quality of life. Many individuals and families continue to experience emotional, psychological, and financial stress resulting from economic uncertainty, family challenges, social isolation, and other life circumstances. Unfortunately, stigma, limited awareness, and barriers to accessing mental health services often prevent individuals from seeking the assistance they need.
DeKalb County’s Probate Mental Health Symposium will provide a critical platform to increase awareness, promote education, reduce stigma, and connect residents with mental health professionals, community organizations, and essential support resources.

Increase appropriations for the following account by the amounts indicated below:

Recommended Action
To approve the allocation of $10,000.00 from the District 3 Reserve for Appropriation and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or her designee to execute all necessary documents.
