PURPOSE:
To approve a one-month Rental Agreement between DeKalb County and AK Memorial, LLC, for the use of approximately 96,280 square feet of space at 5615 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30083, to support the Department of Voter Registration and Elections' post-election activities.
NEED/IMPACT:
The rental space is necessary to provide adequate capacity for the secure and efficient preparation, coordination, and execution of the mandated Risk-Limiting Audit (RLA) following the November 3, 2026, General Election. The facility will also support related post-election operations, including the organization, reconciliation, and management of election materials, supplies, and equipment. The proposed rental period of November 1 through November 30, 2026, will allow sufficient time for facility preparation, audit activities, and the completion of essential post-election responsibilities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total rental cost is $96,280 for the one-month period of November 1 through November 30, 2026.
