PURPOSE:

Consists of providing a comprehensive psychological and behavioral health program for DeKalb County Fire Fighters first responders. The services include prevention, wellness checks, psychoeducational training, debriefings, case consultations, policy development and enhancements. According to a mental wellness survey conducted in May 2021, 38% of DeKalb County first responders indicated a positive showing for depression which was 58% higher than the national rate in the surveys conducted. This program will assist with improving Fire Rescue First Responders’ mental health and well-being.  Three (3) proposals were received.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Recommend award to the highest scoring proposer:

 

Moore to Life Counseling and Consulting, 1310 Chipmunk Forest Chase, Powder Springs, GA 30127

 

and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the contract and all associated documents.
