PURPOSE:
To approve Amendment No. 2 to Contract 1248319 with the Housing Authority to extend the term to December 31,2022 and add funds in an amount not to exceed $366,080.00 and ratify work performed by the Housing Authority and payment made for services consistent with Contract 1248319 from April 1,2022 through November 30, 2022.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Federal Government allocated $21,622,063.20 Emergency Rental Assistance Program funding to DeKalb County to assist in addressing the rental crises affecting the nation.
The ERAP program provides that payments from the Fund may only be used to cover costs incurred beginning in March 2020 for certain purposes, including rental and utilities assistance.
This action appropriates an additional $366,080.00 in ERA 1/ERA 1 reallocation funding to the Housing Authority for implementation of the attached Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement in furtherance of the Tenant Landlord Assistance Coalition goals and objectives.

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve Amendment No. 2 to Contract 1248319 with the Housing Authority for assistance with the Tenant Landlord Assistance Coalition and ratify work previously performed by the Housing Authority related to assistance with the Tenant Landlord Coalition using ERA 1/ERA 1 Reallocation and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney or her designee.
