PURPOSE:
A Comprehensive Accessibility Evaluation of DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs properties was conducted by Bureau Veritas in accordance with the requirements of 28CFR Park 35, the 2010 ADA Design Standards for Accessible Design, and the State of Georgia building Code sections relating to accessibility. The Transition Plan is based on the evaluations of these properties which identifies barriers to accessibility to ensure compliance with Title II of the ADA enabling the department to continue providing inclusive and equitable recreational opportunities to all residents and visitors of DeKalb County.
NEED/IMPACT:

FISCAL IMPACT:
The ADA transition plan has identified barriers for accessibility and has provided a phased project table for implementation over the next 10 years as part of RPCA’s CIP.
