PURPOSE:

1.                     To consider acceptance of an additional $100,000 of federal WIOA funds for employment and training services that support the QUEST Dislocated Worker workforce development program.

NEED/IMPACT:

We received a Notice of Grant Award Modification from the Technical College System of Georgia (TSCG), awarding an additional $100,000 for Fiscal Year 2023 QUEST Dislocated Worker Program activities. This will allow us to cover costs for reimbursement of participants enrolled in employment and training activities between October 01, 2024 and September 30, 2025. This approval will permit WorkSource DeKalb to accept the additional funds for continued program services.

The additional funding will serve approximately 10 Dislocated Workers in DeKalb County.

This action was approved by the WorkSource DeKalb Board (WSDB) on October 30, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No impact to County funds. 100% Federal Funds - U.S. Department of Labor; no matching funds required.
