PURPOSE:

DWM’s Wastewater Collection and Transmission System (WCTS) includes an estimated 2,700 miles of sanitary sewer lines, and 70,000 manholes. Per the Consent Decree (CD) entered into with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the County must implement a program for continuous sewer assessment, maintenance and rehabilitation aimed at minimizing sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs). Sanitary sewer renewal, rehabilitation, and associated work activities will serve to improve sanitary sewer system operations. Contractors shall utilize the nationally recognized NASSCO published PACP and MACP standards for conducting all post rehabilitation inspections. The work will be performed on an on-demand basis as authorized by DWM via the use of Work Orders. Work Orders will include the approval of a contractor’s schedule.  Seven (7) bids were received.
