PURPOSE:
Neighbors in Need (NIN) Program provides emergency home repairs for low-income elderly homeowners. This initiative is grassroots, relationship-based, block-by-block effort to improve seniors' lives.
The Unearthing Farm & Market is a non-profit urban farm that grow healthy, regionally- and culturally-specific food with organic regenerative practices.
GSU Perimeter College for event support, custodial services and a GSU security officer for the I AM A FATHER 5K Run/Walk event.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Neighbor in Needs Program Neighbors (NIN) Program provides emergency home repairs for low-income elderly homeowners. This initiative will provide the services for the eligible seniors based on their home repair needs from the Neighbor in Needs program.
The Unearthing Farm & Market produces and distributes food and fosters a public green space for the community.
GSU Perimeter College for event support, custodial services and a GSU security officer for the I AM A FATHER 5K Run/Walk event.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Transfer to Non-Departmental Fund 250 amount not to exceed $65,715
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) amount not to exceed $65,715
Funds will be allocated to the following programs:
• Kirkwood Cares, East Lake & Edgewood NIN - $45,000
• East Atlanta Community Association NIN - $15,000
• Unearthing Farm & Market - $5,000
• GSU Perimeter College - $715

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
